I had to go to Orlando this past weekend and I thought that the following might be helpful, especially to those of you who are driving there via I-75.
There's no major construction on I-75 between Cartersville and the Georgia/Florida border. However, when you hit the border, there's about 40 miles (all the way to the junction with I-10) where the traffic is reduced to two lanes and the "posted" speed limit is reduced to 55 MPH. However, if you just keep up with traffic, you'll find most are doing 60-70. After that, it's clear sailing all the way into Orlando.
I would remind you, however, to pay "Attention K-Mart shoppers", lest you become part of a "blue light special" around Valdosta. We saw four or five cars pulled over by the state highway patrol in that area.
Unfortunately, I had to go north of the conference exit on I-4, so I don't know about any construction south of Exit 31 on I-4. However, for those of you staying at another location north of the conference site, there's no construction north of Exit 31 on I-4 in Orlando.
Sorry I can't be there gang. Have a good conference.
George
