You do it when u go to install app at their site.
If you distributing your app by sending CD + manual then include those steps into manual.

Moreover if printers used are dot matrix, I don't think your problems will end just by adding another printer with custom page setup. It will have to be supported by VFP code sending esc codes to printer enforcing exact page size in inches.
