In our case we have data in our vfp app that we then send to the pdf form to populate the pdf form fields programmatically and print out the form from within VFP. We have our users modify any data that they need to via a VFP form prior to launching the pdf form for previeiwing and printing. We want the data to be maintained entirely in our vfp app. The pdf forms we use are premade by an outside company but they do not contain the form fields so we add the form fields using Acrobat 6 ourselves. We store the pdf in a memo field a table and create it on the fly when the user needs to print it. Originally we were using xfdf files to create the data for the forms but we have switched to using the Gnostice pdftoolkit to do this. It allows us to step through every form field on the PDF form and set its value using form object properties which in our case is preferable to creating the xfdf (xml) file for every form on the fly. We created a preview form in VFP that contains the activex control. There are a couple of ways to populate pdf forms from VFP as you will see from the links above. A search on the UT for pdf will return more. I hope you find a solution that is right for you.
