>>Go back even earlier to the Broncos and the Cowboys in 1978. I was living in Colorado then and I remember the hype. It was amazing...

>Yeah. I remember. It was Tony Dorsett's first and only Super Bowl win. Randy White and Harvey Martin were co-MVPs, although many felt that Cowboys' Randy Hughes, the free safty, was also deserving of the award. Afterwards, Harvey Martin did the "Orange Crush" soft drink. :)

>I really felt for Craig Morton. He finally made it to a Super Bowl, against his old team at that, and got clobbered. I always liked him.

>But I think the 49er's and the Cowboys rivalry in the early 90's were more intense because it lasted several years. The Broncos were a one year wonder in 70's. What happened to them after 1978? I don't remember.
I heard a rumor that the NFL will not allow the 49’ers to play out the rest of the season. :) They are a disgrace to professional football.
Our local CBS station (KPIX) during its sports reporting last night had a "first". It seems that Steve Young called the sports reporter and told him that the 49'er coach would be fired at the end of this season, with two years reamining on his contract. I do not think that the problem is the coach. They should be looking at the owners and what they have done to help destroy the 49'ers.
