It is most likely the easiest option. If the data in the grid is being made editable, you could create this as a view in the DBC. If you need to change what records are displayed based on a filter (WHERE clause) criteria, make it a parameterized view. Perhaps if you can provide some details regarding what is needing to be done in addition to just displaying the data, maybe we can come up with better solutions.
