The problem with buying it this way is, when the subscription expires you are required to "destroy" all CD's, DVD's, etc. and stop using the software. This program only allows one (year) renewal.

I subscribed to another MS Partner program up to about a year ago. MS sent me letters and emails that directed me to destroy everything and remove everything from my computers, when I didn't renew.

To avoid any complications, I'll pay the $1500 for the real thing :(

It looks like the resellers on Ebay know they can get $1500, so I wouldn't expect prices going back to what they were last year. I think I paid around $900 back then.
