Can anybody help me with how to use the GradientFill API function?

It is declared as:

DECLARE INTEGER GradientFill IN Msimg32;
INTEGER hdc,;
STRING @ pVertex,;
LONG dwNumVertex,;
STRING @ pMesh,;
LONG dwNumMesh,;
LONG dwMode

but I don't know what parameters to pass in.
