I see...thanks. I guess that if the TMPFILES command is not in the CONFIG.FPW or the CONFIG.FPW does not exist, VFP will use the TEMP directory specified by the environment variable?

>Joseph, you can tell VFP where to put your temporary files by setting the CONFIG.FPW: See TMPFILES, EDITWORK, SORTWORK and PROGWORK in the Help.
