Hi Vince,

Now I'm totally confused. Which one is shared folder and why do you create a sortcut for WinXP under WIn2K or vice versa?

>Perhaps I wasn't as clear as I should have been. I am not sharing VFP8. My company has the required licenses to allow for multiusers and each of us has it installed locally. So that is not the issue.

>What is the issue is the creation of a shortcut on a shared folder accessible by winXP and win2000 pc's.

>When I create the shortcut with "c:\program files\microsoft visual foxpro 8\vfp8.exe" -cr:\config.fpw" as the target, the winXP machines can double click on the link and run using the specified config file. However, the win2000 users cannot. When I look at the shortcut from their machines, the target contains "c:\progra~1\micros~1\vfp8.exe" -cr:\config.fpw. And, as stated above, they have VFP8 installed on their local c: drives.
