A creationist might say that, but this is not an appropriate comparison. If you want a simpler model, more adapted to your day-to-day life, how about just considering that living beings come from other, similar, living beings (e.g., a hummingbird has hummingbirds for its parents), without wondering, where did everything come from in the first place.
Just like a (simplified) atomic model that considers atoms as perfect spheres with a perfect rebound, this is appropriate for some situations, but doesn't explain everything.
