If you're keeping the EXE and data files on the network, and just running them from the workstation, you can just put a dummy file in an otherwise empty directory, and run the setup wizard with that file. Of course, you'll have to work out another way to put the icon on peoples' desktops.

If you want to be a little slicker, but still keep the EXE on the server, you can create a small 'shell' program (in VB or VFP) which is installed on the C: drive, which simply launches the EXE on the server and terminates. That way you can run a standard SETUP to install it on C: _With_ your icon of choice, and still have the ability to update the EXE as time goes on.

Still a third option is to let your EXE file reside on C:, and your data remains on the network. If you want to be able to update without user intervention, the program will have to check it's own date or version and update itself if out of date.
