Al,
>Some of you FireFox users may have noticed that the "Copy" button (copies thread/message URL etc. to the Clipboard) does not work. Michel says changing a security setting in FireFox fixes this. However, neither he nor I know exactly what setting that is.

http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/known-vulnerabilities.html ). I don't want to willy-nilly allow any JavaScript script access to the clipboard; ideally, I'd like to enable this selectively for only a few sites. Otherwise I'm inclined to not allow any JavaScript access to the Clipboard at all.

Michel and I traded some messages on this and I have since destroyed the paper trail :-( However, if you can get Firefox to prompt you about the clipboard access, the trick is to NOT check the remember this decision box, and just click the Allow when it becomes active. Seems to be some delay in this happening for some reason. IAC, anytime I now use the function I get the prompt, and for the convenience it is worth it and should allay any security concerns you might have. Note also that the link you pointed to says this was 'fixed' in the preview release. I am still running the preview release. Works for me?
