In VFP6 you could remove headers and use labels covering the headers area (sure you will lose the ability to move or resize columns).
As for the "setup" for VFP7, then see if you actually need it:

>Thanks Yuri, I am using vfp6, but I think it is time for me to shift to vfp8. I never used vfp7 because at the time I could not get my head around creating the exe file and not having the vfp6 type setup to creat a file.
