Just a stab in the dark...

Maybe you didn't change the form, but what about other components that might affect? I'm thinking specifically of SET TABLEVALIDATE, which surely could cause this if changed recently.

Another possibility is that your network adapter cards are going to sleep (some are designed to do this by default for power-saving) but I'd suspect that only if you put some new hardware in recently. I was at a shop last week with approx. 1 year old Dells and they all had this feature set ON!!!

good luck

>We are trying to figure out why all of a sudden we are getting table locks. The form which is trying to load uses all free table opened via code (not data environment). The open for the tables is located in the form LOAD procedure section. There has not been a change to this form in a long time and for the last few days, off and on, we will have one of two tables lock up. It locks it to where you even get attempting lock... if you try to open it from the command box as shared. Looking at open files with users on the network, it shows random users with only maybe two or three tables open, but the form should open about 10-15 (when running normal). When we clear their connection, it frees everyone else up again to use the table and hence the program. Any ideas as to what would cause this all of a sudden?
