I have several printers I am connected to and each one has different options for the paper sizes. None of them have "custom" as an option. This information is part of the printer driver. It lists the papers that can fit in the trays that are made for it.

If you have a tray for this custom paper size, I'd check with the maker's web site and see about updating the driver. Maybe a new driver has this new paper size. But, I suspect that you plan on using manual feed.

If that is the case then it is the application that handles the paper size. For example in Word, you can set a custom paper size. The printer driver may think that what it is getting in the manual feed slot is a letter size piece of paper, but Word knows not to use the area outside of your custom demensions.

One thing that may be a problem is if your custom size is bigger than what the printer has selected in the driver. Some printers might give you an error and act as if there is a paper jam, when it's just that the bigger paper takes longer to eject. Just to be safe, I'd try to select a paper that is bigger than your custom one if possible.
