Thanks very much for your reply. Please tell me more if you have the time. This is all new to me and I need to start by getting the big picture.

Exactly how does the Web Service fit into your system? Why is it necessary or the preferred approach? Tell me more about what you mean by the 'end-user stuff' on the scanner. How big of a program is that and exactly what does it do?

At this point, all we need is a way to get the output from the scanner into native VFP tables. Any suggestions on the best way to do that?
