As I understand it you are correct. I think there was another option called the PCCharge DevKit Suite that included some end user licenses but it was, of course, much more expensive.

In our case, the client has four cash registers so he has installed PCCharge Server on the main cash register and PCCharge Client on all four cash registers.

I assume since you bought the DevKit that you plan to integrate the Credit Card processing into your app ? If so and if I can be of any help I would be glad to do what I can. It has been quite a learning experience for me. BTW, the recommended approach is to use their OCX methods. I started using the file method and soon discovered that the OCX approach was much cleaner and easier (except for my current issue reference Commercial Credit Cards)
