Yes, we do use UNC. However, currently, this still requires that the user has access to the referenced directories, even if I'm referencing them via UNC instead of letter designations. We would like to use UNC along w/ different access privileges than the current user, i.e., some sort of impersonation that passes along a username/password/domain etc. not currently accessible to the logged-in user.
