Sorry, printer was red herring. The peformance problem is to do with sub-reports and the "re-import when opening" option. There is a bug with crystal which has been fixed where it goes away and locates the UNC path of the subreport regardless of whether you want the subreport to be "re-imported". My problem now is that i appear to have some sub-reports which have the "re-import" option ticked but it is disabled so i can't un tick it? does anyone know why ?
