Raphael, I replied to this yesterday eve but it must have gone to never never land.

Anyway, Sensible or not, that just won't work.

I have been able to deduce this to something that may be easier to address. I believe what is going on (and I think that is why you believe it is working as it should), is that I have coded this program to manipulate the windows as required. I mean by that that I (in code) show and hide windows as necessary. I believe the problem is that Windows is simultaneously trying to do what it does and therein lies the problem.

Let's just deal with this one issue:

I have just performed:
SHOW WINDOW ("BIG-LEFT") TOP
SHOW WINDOW ("BIG-RIGHT") TOP
SHOW WINDOW ("SMALL-LEFT") TOP
SHOW WINDOW ("SMALL-RIGHT") TOP.

I click on the SMALL-LEFT window.

No code is issued to cause it (so Windows is doing it), but the BIG-LEFT window moves to the top over the SMALL-LEFT window.

If I click on the BIG-LEFT window, the SMALL-LEFT window reappears.

Ideas???
Thanks,
John
