Hi Rene,
Let’s try this again for the second time,
In the Server instance where the locks are occurring there is a "master" database with a table titled “SYSLOCKINFO”. In the Syslockinfo table you can find out the current locks which are being “granted”, “waiting”, and “converting”.
A good book which could help you get up to speed on being a DBA is title "SQL Server 2000 for Experienced DBA" by Brian Knight, ISBN 0-07-222788-5, the publisher is McGraw Hill \ Osborne.
I hope this helps, sorry for any miss communication, I am currently studying SQL Server so I can pass the test(s) and I am slowly going nuts. Ha Ha
