Looking for advice on how to increase the slooooooow speed in which credit card swipe characters get posted to a text input field in FoxPro 2.6 for DOS (takes about 5 to 6 seconds to post the 103 character string to a text field) -- DOS typeamatic rate is set to 32 via the mode con: rate=32 delay=1 command -- card reader is attached to the AT keyboard.

Using FoxPro for Windows 2.6 that same card swipe post time takes about one second for the same 103 characters.

Posting the card swipe directly to a dos command window also takes one second or less.

So, I am stumpted looking for a means to speed up credit card swiping for a client's trusty ole FoxPro for DOS program now that we have added credit card processing to the DOS point of sale app that works wonderful otherwise...
