Hi Christrof
>Copy. As a rule of thumb, I never use any class outside of the project directory.

That seems to be the consensus. Thanks especially for your input...I've waded in and out of various Fox fora and have relied on your in-depth knowledge more than a few times.

On a side note, this may be of interest to others in the forum. I spent the better part of the day on subclassing pages. I guess I've been to busy to play with VFP8 (I'm still partying with 6 and 2!). Anyway, the opportunity came up to do a small app so I figured I'd take a stab at VFP8.

I decided to use a copy _base.vcx and then subclass to my own base classes. One of my old classes contains a pageframe with 2 pages, 1 for detail data entry, the 2nd containing a grid.

It took the better part of the day for me to realize that I had to remove the pages in the _base.vcx pageframe, remove the pages from my own class's pageframe and add a copy of base.prg to my base class as well as setting the MemberClass and MemberClassLibrary props. What a fiasco!

I guess I should know better...it seems I've learned most of FoxPro the painful way. I doubt that will change anytime soon.

I suppose I should start looking into the same potential problems with optiongroups and dataenvironments and grids...
If you have any thoughts/ideas to lessen the pain, feel free to write me a prescription.

Thanks again,

Ed
