>We have a driver program that runs multiple other programs. When run that way, there is a noticible slowdown in processing time. When run individually, closing Foxpro down between each program, it runs much faster. What causes this and is there a way to avoid it and still run the driver program that calls all the other programs?

Jay,
Saying "closing down between each program" you mean they're separately callable from command line or win explorer too? If so use ShellExecute to invoke them.
