Thanks for the reply. Yes this is for a winform app. Someone else gave me the tip about the Application.ProductVersion property and I asnwered my own thread with a different approach also.

I also need to be able to retreive the app version information for an app written in the compact framework. Please let me know if you know how this can be done.
