Craig,

Maybe you can help me with my problem. Instead of going the route you suggested earlier, I would like to complete a solution I have 90% done. I have a letter generated in VFP and displayed in CR. It displays 2 jpg graphical signatures at the bottom. I set them up as linked ole objects as described in Randy Rinker’s message #618751. This way the user could copy in a new signature as personnel changes. It works great on my machine. When I copy a new file over the old one the new file displays in the report. I set up the live system with the linked graphic files and gave them the exact same path as on my development system. However, on the clients system it displays only the original set. That is, if I copy a new file over the old one the old file still displays in the report. It’s acting as if it is imbedded in the report. However, on my development system when I right click on the graphic the 2nd from the bottom menu option says “Linked Photo Editor Object” so I know it is linked. The client’s machine does not have any jpg editing software installed. So when I double click on the graphic in windows explorer it loads the graphic in Internet Explorer.

Is there some requirement about doing this on a non-development system?
Could the old graphics be cashed?
Is this file still imbedded in the report?

How can I get a new file to display as it is copied onto the server?
