No .. the order you add the tables will not affect the outcome. What matters is what table "drives" the report. The InitialSelectedAlias must be set to the driving table. If your master file is a "parent" table and the transaction file is a "child" table, then the Transaction file is the one you want to use as the InitialSelectedAlias.

Confirm you have the right Order set, InitialSelectedAlias set, and relations are established between the parent and child tables.

Do you have any code in a UDF or other place in the report that changes the alias?
