We have a VFP application that uses SQL Server™ as its back end. It uses remote views, and some sql pass through as well.

Now lets assume that this SQL Server™ was actually deployed on failover cluster. In the event of an actual failover, does VFP actually keep working without any problems?

I know VFP is unable to refresh its file and connection handles, but wondering maybe the connection handle in a failover still remains valid even though the actual server changes.

Does anyone have any experience/information regarding this?

That depends on how the cluster is set up. What kind of hardware are you using? The best way to test the fail-over is the disconnect a server from the network and see how VFP behaves. But give us some more details on how the cluster is setup.
