OBJECT loads an ActiveX object on the client machine. In order to function, the object must either be registered on the client machine including all runtime files, or the user must have Administrator privileges, as well as allow the installation of ActiveX controls.

Since the object tag is meant for ActiveX controls, I'm not sure it will work for VFP COM server at all.
