For some reason I can not change the property of the combo to sorted = .t.

The sorted property of the combo box is only applicable for RowSourceType 0 - None.

and everytime it is run, even though it is in alpha order, and I use the index, which is also in alpha order, the combo's results are never in the alpha order. Any ideas on how I can get this combo to sort properly?

If the RowSourceType is either 2-Alias or 6-Fields and the controlling index on the underlying data is in alpha sort order, the combo's list should also display that way. If the combo's list is not displaying in alphabetical order, you may want to double check and be absolutely sure that the controlling index on the underlying sata is indeed the one that you think it is.
