Yes my application is working through network, approx 16 comptuers. I have asked the companies IT person not to fiddle with any printers and settings. The system has been working without any hitchies for last 3 years. I have a folder in local computers called "Khan". In this forlder I have a file called "Control.dbf". In this file I have around 10 fields and userid field. I use 4 fields for printer names. Then in start up file of the program, use local c:\khan\control file and make public variables of the printer names. Then just before printing, I set the printer to what it should be. I hope I have expalined it clearly, or clear as mud !!! Shafid
