Hi Hilmar,

I when back and re-read the article that Neil Mc Donald emailed me. Here is what I'm getting out of it:

1) Some quantum fields have masses and some quantum fields are massless.

2) If a quantum field has mass, the mass will exponentially attenuate (e.g. decrease or lose power) to zero over a very short distance. This kind of quantum field cannot be transmitted to distant places.

3) In a vacuum, the mass of electromagnetic field and gravity are zero, so they can propagate infinitely.

4) When electromagnetic field goes into superconductor, it obtains a mass and attenuate (e.g. decreases) rapidly at about 10 to the 8th power meters. This is the electromagnetic shielding in superconductors.

5) Gravity has zero mass and can propagate infinitely. However, superconductor also give gravity mass which causes it to attenuate rapidly. This is the shielding of gravity.

6) The breaking of the symmetry of electromagnetic fields and gravity, caused by superconductor, creates the opportunity to be able to manipulate gravity so it has no effect within the shield area.

This is an important difference between the theory of relativity concept of gravity, which is geometric, and the quantum theory of gravity which is dual, incorporating special relativity and a physically interactive concept of gravity.
