I usually use that style, what I'm looking for I guess is what to put in the valid, etc. events/clauses to allow entry of an existing customer, but if they customer is not found, dropdown the box and position it as close to what they entered as possible. I would also want them to be able to add a new customer at that time as well. I am not positive that the combo is way to go but I think it probably is
