i get error message end of file encountered at my code (gather memvar)under,
but he get the data as what i want.

      select 1
      use newdnc
      m.char1=char1
do whil .t. .and. !eof()
             scatter memvar 
     select 2
      use newdnc1
      locate for char1=m.char1
     * append blank
             GATHER MEMVAR && i get the message
      select 1
      skip
   if eof()
    exit
   endif
enddo
CLOSE ALL
