I liked Gregory's idea of putting the above code into the class I have for the columns textbox, which is luckily subclassed.

I think that you may not have understood my solution since it is exactly the same solution ( in principle ) as Gregory suggested < s >. Is there something in this statement that I made:

suggest that you create a custom text box class that has this code in its dblClick():

That led you to believe that I thought the code should not go into a custom class < s > ?
