Unfortunately, it is applicable to VFP9. We were not able to find a solution with acceptable performance characteristics. Instead of significantly slowing down things across-the-board, we added new tools for developers to better handle tables modified with very high frequency:
- new values for the second parameter of SET REFRESH
- SYS(1104) is enhanced to target specific work area
- a work area can be assigned its own refresh setting
