"1-900" numbers work that way in Canada and the USA. You order the number from your phone company, and whom ever accesses the nunber is charged either a flat fee or per minute fees on their phone bill and you would be required to pay a minimal flat fee per month for the line.
>>It is unclear what you need. Can you clarify?
>>
>>1. Do you need call records that lists detailed call records that a single phone made? Outbound calls
>>2. Or do you need call details of a single phone recieved? Inbound calls
>>
>>If it is option number #1, that is a more difficult setup and takes the cooperation of the telephone provider. There ARE calls records generated for all outbound calls, but since most providers do not charge for local calls (at least not in Canada), they do not keep records of these calls, they only keep records of the international calls, since those would be the ones that they would charge back to the client, and those are the ones that they would be charged for from what provider they routed the call to.
>>
>>If it is options 2. You would require what is called a 'dedicated toll free line'. Where all calls made to this number would generate a call records.
>
>The purpose of the line is to provide paid support to customers that do not have a service contract with us. Sort of pay as you go. It would be the opposite of a toll free line. Customers would pay their phone company in a similar way that people can access some astrology or phones sex "services". It would be useful to get a list of callers together with the portion of the fee they paid that corresponds to us so we can match up with our call records.
