Dmitry, could it be a code-page issue? ie. FoxFix thinks it's one code page while in the meantime it is another? Either way, if VFP copies the file to a new file without problem then I would assume it is a FoxFix issue and report it to them.

>I just did what you suggested and when I try to open/scan the new table in FoxFix, it reports the same exact problem:
>"An inordinate number of errors found... more likely due to Record Length, Header Length, or Memo Block Size having invalid values."

>As I indicated in another message to Sergey, I downloaded utility CMRepair and it found NO problem with the same table. So it is either FoxFix is wrong or CMRepair is not seeing some problems that FoxFix does.

>>>Hi Jos,
>>>Yes, I tried to load the table into the FoxFix. It immediately tell me that there are "inordinate number of errors ..." and FoxFix says that most likely the problem is with the Header Record Count, Length, or File Length. Therefore, FoxFix recommends to fix those problems first before scanning the table. FF_SCAN() is the only way I know of to correct the table header problems but it in effect trashes the table. So I am sort of in the catch 22.

>>>>>
