Hi Sergey,

Well... I don't remember if it was a UT posting or something Ken said in the recent video that showed up online or exactly where...

But I did get the impression from Ken Levy that they haven't decided what they're packaging and what they're calling the next ...whatever....

I can't say release, because I don't know.

Anyway, the point is, it ~seems~ increasingly clear that the future of VFP is not a normal progression of enhancements and a next release named VFP 10.0 like the pattern has been in the past.

No flame wars please. I love VFP. But paradigms are shifting. I don't think we can view the future of VFP the same way that we have in the past.

I have no inside knowledge. I just watch and listen. Microsoft is skirting around with vague language like no other time in VFP's history. And this leads me to conclude that something's different this time. Maybe I'm right. Maybe I'm wrong.

Apparently, we'll be better informed sometime in the next 6 months.

Guy
