Can't speak for the USA but over here, there are certainly VFP positions but in different parts of the country. If you are prepared to travel/relocate, then there is work. But, if you are tied to an area due to family committments, schools etc., then it can be a problem.

I recently got some Fox work but so far, I have mainly coded in T-SQL and C# ! However, that work is a VFP -> C# re-write.

>>Metin makes a reasonable point. Whilst it may be documented by KL that "something will come after VFP9", when VFP7 was in beta, VFP8 was referred to and when VFP8 was in beta, VFP9 was referred to. This time, VFP10 has *not* been mentioned. So, what KL may be referring to could be anything from hotfixes to service pack releases but not necessarilly VFP.next. So, its fair to conclude that this time, things are somewhat different to at least the last two VFP releases.

>>Well, you certainly appear to be "on message" - at least the MS message.

>I don't see VFP surviving in today's corporate environment. Three years ago I could always get a job using VFP, but now I'm lucky if I see a posting for a VFP position being advertised. Things are definately slowing down--for the IT community as a whole, but especially in the VFP market.
