>We have an old VFP DOS 2.6 app that we are in the process of replaceing with VFP. I added FILES=199 to the CONFIG.NT file in \windows\system32 on the WinXP workstations to fix the Too Many Files Open error, but it doesn't seem to woth on our 1 Win2000 w/s. Is there a different fix for Windows 2000?

The solution is the same for W2K. If you're starting the FPDOS app from a desktop shortcut (.PIF), make sure that it's set to use the CONFIG.NT file you think it is:

Right click on shortcut...Properties...Program...Advanced and make sure the "Custom MS-DOS initialization files" are what you think they are.
