Why would you not have the encrypt function return the true/false value.

You should be programming your web services to be stateless. Relying on a property value like this kinda violates this rule.

Plus how is your shared function relying on a property value on the object anyway ? Your code in that shared function probably cannot access the me.lerror property anyway correct ?
