When I looked in the online help, shared wasn't an option for the structure, but public was. I'm creating the oUser object at the top of the login form (my main form) with

Public oUser As CurrentUserClass.Currentuser

But your right, I just created a second form that will be called from login form and oUser is nowhere to be seen.
