Hello,

i've experimented with ODBC tracing the last weeks ..

an SQLEXEC call against a ODBC connection which points again to Foxpro data didn't use SQLBindCol, it uses SQLGetData for all columns.

But the behaviour may be different depending on the ODBC driver (datasource) which is accessed.

you can easily find out if you enable tracing on the ODBC connection .. then issue some SQLEXEC/SQLPREPARE calls from the IDE and check the logfile

Regards

Christian
