We just upgraded our customer app from a VFP8 app to VFP9 and we are running into errors. The error we are getting is DLL entry point in GETLONGPATHNAMEA.DLL can not be found. We have looked it up on the web and it is having a problem accessing a windows DLL. The A on the end is for ANSI. If we click OK by that error message we get the message VFP9REN.DLL is corrupt or missing can not run application. Then the application dies.

We have checked the machine and we are not sure which SP they are on, but I think they are on the latest. One thing we are going to try and take them to NT SP6 and see if that solves the problem. The customer might be on SP5, but am not sure. We looked it up and VFP9 says it will run on Win98,ME,Win2K,XP,2003 and never mentions NT.

Anyone have ideas?
