You mean a bug in the application that would cause it to crash? Now why would you write an application that would crash :)
Now you could handle that with error handling (in most cases). One thing this method would not handle is if the silly user would unplug the computer.
I see your point but without further information regarding the server OS it is hard to help Mo.
