You are absolutely right. However, if you addobject() the controls at run time, you give up most of the advantages of having a graphic design interface. While most of the time one does use addobject() to populate forms -- especially those with many control that would take a long time to load otherwise -- I still believe M$ should provide a means of positively setting initiation order at design time.
I realize there are all kinds of ways of working around the problem of not having positive control over firing order -- but that's all they are: workarounds. If M$ would correct this grave design flaw, these workarounds would not be necessary.
