I don't use Delphi, but I used to use Turbo Pascal for DOS (v3 - v5) many years ago. So I guess Delphi is very good language. I'm not sure which one is better compare to C++/VC++ or .NET

If you like power for HLL, try PowerBasic. From what I see, it is powerful. But in the end, in my opinion, Assembly is the best languange and VFP is the best database tools for small to mid-size company
