Hi all,

I have a client who keeps getting a Fatal Exception error when saving a record.

I have establised that this error is occuring due to the index on the table being corrupt, reindexing resolves the problem. However, this seems to happen about once a week and what I really need to know is why is the index is becoming corrupt so frequently.

The system has over 100 tables and it only seems to be this table that is getting corrupt.

The table that becomes corrupt is used for holding Audit Log information and is therefore freqently written to. A maximum of 15 users can be using the system at any one time.

I know how to fix the Fatal Exception error, however I'm really looking for some ideas\areas on why the index keeps becoming corrupt.

Are there any common areas\known problems that may result in an index becoming corrupt?

Any thoughts would be greatfully received.

Jon
