You could set the colour of the header different. You could use CHR(24) (down arrow) as in:
With Thisform.grdMyGrid.Column1.Header1
.Caption = .Caption + " " + CHR(24)
Endwith
If this doesn't work you could always use a "*" or something. See Help Inkey() for ASCII char map.
